SRP has proposed the Pinal Energy Projects to keep up with customer demand for electricity into the future.

Recent economic events have significantly slowed customer growth rates, however, so SRP is re-evaluating the timing and magnitude of new generation to support its electric service area in Central Arizona.

SRP may build new generation on one or two sites in Pinal County. These sites will likely be developed as opportunities and need present themselves.
